Eligibility Criteria

Candidates Should Posses 12TH, 10TH, 8TH Pass

Class 10th /Matric pass with 45% marks in aggregate of five basic subjects and min 33% marks in each of those five subjects. For boards following grading system, grades commensurate to percentages, as above, will be considered. Indian Gorkhas – Class 10th simple pass.

Note: Candidates who have appeared in class 10th Board Exam and are awaiting declaration of results are also eligible to apply provided they fulfill all other Qualification Required. Such candidates, however, shall only be selected when they produce the original marksheet during the Phase II of recruitment process.

 Age Limit

  • Minimum Age: 17 ½ years
  • Maximum Age: 22 years
  • Candidates born between 01 Jul 2005 to 01 Jul 2009 (both days inclusive) are eligible to apply.

Age relaxation is applicable as per rules.

  • Upper Age limit will be relaxable upto 30 years of age (as on date of joining training) in respect of widows of Defence personnel who have died in harness.
  • Note: Women who are widowed, divorced or legally separated are also eligible provided they do not have any children subject to fulfilling all other eligibility criteria. Widows of Defence Personnel who have died in harness will be eligible to apply for enrolment as Women Military Police. Such widows even with children will be, however, eligible only if they have not remarried.

Physical Standards

  • Height: 162 cms.
  • Chest Expansion: The candidate should be capable of chest expansion of 05 cms.
  • Weight: Weight standards are based on BMI as per the chart below.

Special Physical Standards

Candidates belonging to following regions will be given 4 cms height relaxation:

  • North East Region: Sikkim, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Tripura, Mizoram, Meghalaya and Assam.
  • Gorkhas.
  • Garhwalis.
  • Ladakher.
  • Tribals of recognized tribal areas.

Note: Domicile and Caste certificate will be considered to determine applicability of height relaxation.

  • Examination Fee: Rs 250/- per application for all categories.
  • Payment Mode: Online (through the website during application).

Selection Process

  • Phase I – Online Common Entrance Exam (CEE): Conducted at Computer based test centres. This will be conducted for provisionally shortlisted candidates. Admission to the examination will be purely on the basis of Admit Card. The CEE will be conducted at designated centres tentatively between 01 Jun 2026 to 15 Jun 2026.
  • Phase II – Recruitment Rally: Proportionate to the vacancies available candidates would be shortlisted based on the aggregate marks scored in the CEE. Shortlisted candidates will attend the Recruitment Rally at designated venue where the Physical Fitness Test, Physical Measurement Test, Medical Test and Document Verification will be conducted.

Physical Fitness Test (PFT) (At Rally Site)

  • 1.6 Km Run
    • Group I: Upto 7 Min 45 Secs – Excellent
    • Group II: 7 Min 46 Sec to 8 Min 30 Sec – Good
  • Long Jump: 10 Feet (Need to qualify)
  • High Jump: 3 Feet (Need to qualify)

Note: Provisions for extra time for 1.6 Km run in hilly terrain and lower timing for Long Jump and High Jump in such cases.

Medical Standards

  • Candidates must be in good physical and mental health, free from any disability likely to interfere with efficient performance of duties.
  • Detailed medical examination as per Army standards.

Final Merit List

  • Final merit list will be based on aggregate of marks scored in CEE and performance in PFT (if applicable).
  • Recruitment is purely based on merit depending on available vacancies.

  • Admit Card.
  • 20 copies of passport size photographs.
  •  Education Certificates (Marksheets, Degree, etc.).
  • Domicile Certificate.
  • Caste Certificate (if applicable for relaxation).
  • Religion Certificate (if required).
  • School Character Certificate.
  • Character Certificate from Village Sarpanch/Municipal Corporation.
  • Unmarried Certificate.
  • NCC Certificate (if applicable).
  • Sports Certificate (if applicable).
  • Affidavit on Rs 10 stamp paper as per format.
  • Single Bank A/C, PAN Card & AADHAR Card.
  • Police Verification Form.
  • Certificate from serving personnel for wards of serving soldiers (if applicable).

Salary Structure

Agniveers will be paid a customized package with fixed yearly increment. In addition, Risk and Hardship, Ration, Dress and Travel allowances as applicable.
